The Passion of Crave Student Ministries is to help students Discover God, Desire Christ,
and Dare to Dream.
This is accomplished through various methods involving: Community, Teaching, Worship, and Service.
Community
“No Man is an Island”. This popular saying sums up this distinctive. We believe God created mankind for fellowship, fellowship with Himself and with others. Through Community (fellowship), trust and acceptance are gained by building relationships with other student, adult leaders, and staff. Once trust and acceptance are established, those without a faith in Jesus will see the difference a community based in Christ and will desire the to be part of that community.
Teaching
Our desire is for every student touched by our ministry to have the opportunity to hear the hope of Jesus in the language of their generation. Not only do we want those without faith in Jesus to hear the Gospel, but also we want actively involved students to learn how to clearly and effectively share their Faith in Christ. Through Teaching (discipleship) a greater understanding of a faith in Christ is gained through Bible Study, Prayer, Worship, and Ministry.
Worship
We want students to understand and be active participants in worship. We believe everyone worships, the question is “Who/What do you worship?” As Christ-followers, we encourage students to worship God (exaltation). We want to provide tools for students to be worshippers: through relevant music, prayer, environment, and applicable messages (spoken word or multi-media). This is practiced to teach students that worship is corporate and personal.
Service
Ministry is Modeling Christianity: through investing in the lives of others in order to bring them to faith in Christ, and by serving others (ministry/mission). We are to model our lives after Jesus. He invested himself in the lives of others and said himself that he did not come to be served but to serve. It’s a big world, and we encourage students to dream large.
